The Victory Garden was an important part of this country’s efforts durring WWII. Growing our own food not only helped with supply shortages, it gave hometown heros a sense of purpose and involvement in what was going on globally and with “our boys” in the trenches. Today “our men and women in uniform” continue to fight for our security and way of life. Let’s give them a hand stateside and make sure our energy comes from local, secure, distributed sources. Give the sunlight a chance.
